If the request has not yet been approved by your supervisor, open the leave request and click the Unsubmit icon (this moves it back to a “Draft”). After that, then you can click the Delete icon. Or, if the request has already been approved and a timecard for that date(s) has not already been processed, you would click on the Withdraw icon (see the article linked above for salaried employees for step-by-step instructions).
- Also make sure that when your timecard is submitted that it no longer contains the leave time before you submit the timecard for processing (or you may need to communicate this to your department if another employee enters your timecard in the system).
If the request has already been approved, and a timecard for that date(s) has already been processed, first check with HR (hr@morainevalley.edu) to see what action you need to take (possibly HR will need to manually adjust your leave balance). One possible option HR will indicate is as follows:
Step 1: First ask your supervisor to “Un-Approve” the leave request before you can edit it or delete it. Note: You may need to wait for the current payroll to process before taking these steps.
Step 2: Click on Employee Self-Service, in the Self-Service for Employees menu.
Step 3: Click on Leave.

Step 4:
Click on the date of the desired request that now lists as Submitted (instead of Approved) in your list of most recent Leave Requests.

Step 5:
Click on the Save icon in the top right corner (this will change the request to a “draft”).

Step 6:
Click on the Delete icon in the top right corner.

Step 7: Take steps to ensure your timecard will be submitted in MVConnect with the appropriate number of hours (and not coded as the leave type that was originally planned). If a timecard was already submitted, email HR (hr@morainevalley.edu)
