Student / Staff / Faculty: Password Reset Tool


In order to use the Password Reset Toolyou must have registered your security questions using our Password Reset Registration tool.

Once registered, you can use the Password Reset link to answer your security questions and create a new password.  Keep your answers in a safe place!


These are the steps that must be followed.

Step #1

  1. Visit and click "login" at the top.


Step #2

  1. Click on "MVConnect" within the dropdown menu


Step #3

  1. The "Moraine Valley Login" screen should appear.
  2. At this point, do not enter your login credentials.
  3. Click on "Password Reset Registration" link near the bottom of the page.


Step #4

  1. Enter your username.
  2. Click "Next"


Step #5

  1. The Login Assistant will ask you 3 of your 5 question you originally answered during the setup process.
  2. You must answer 2 of the 3 questions.
  3. Once you enter your answers, click "Next".
  4. Your questions may differ from the screenshot below.


Step #6

  1. Click "Next"


Step #7

  1.  You will now be prompted to create a new password. Your new password must be complex. The more complex your password is, the more secure your account will be. 
  2. The new password must meet the new complex password requirements!
  3. Password policy requirements for Students:
    1. Be at least 8 characters long
    2. Contain characters from THREE of the following categories:   
      • lowercase letters
      • uppercase letters
      • numeric digits (0 through 9)
      • other alphanumeric characters ( !,@,#,$ …)
    3. May not contain your username or any part of your name


Step #8

  1. Once your password is updated, please remember to update your new password on all of your mobile devices (phones, tablets, etc.).
