The Microsoft Password Reset tool is used to reset your password if it has been forgotten. With Microsoft Password Reset you will be able to reset your password using a phone or alternate email.
- The first time logging in after MPR has been enabled, you will be prompted to enter a phone number. Select "Next".
2. You will now be prompted to add a phone number. By default, the number will be used to text you a code to change your password. Choose "Call Me" if you would prefer a phone call over a SMS text message. Choose "Next"
3. You will now be sent a code to verify your account has been set up succesfully. Enter the code you have received. Upon completion you will be informed that you have registered successfully.
4. Success! Choose "Done" to continue signing in.
5. To add an alternate email log into mysignins.microsoft.com. After logging in, choose "Security Info" from the selections on the left.
6. Choose "Add sign-in method".
7. From the drop down select "Email". Enter your alternate email and choose "Next".
8. You will now be emailed a code for verification purposes. Enter the code and select next.
9. You have now successfully added your alternate email for Password Reset.
