The Cisco Webex component in Canvas may occasionally present faculty with a message stating that Webex authorization has expired.

While attempting to set up Webex in Canvas for the new semester, several faculty members encountered “Your Webex authorization has expired. Please re-authorize Webex”. To fix this issue, please follow the steps below:

Note: To correct this issue it’s necessary to log out of Webex’s connection to Canvas and then to reauthorize it.

1. Access the ‘Cisco Webex’ link in Canvas.

2. Locate and click the ‘Log out of Webex Meetings’ icon.  It appears as a box with an arrow pointing to the right.  It is located to the immediate left of the Support link.

3. The screen will change.  Click ‘Sign in with Webex Meetings’.

4. Enter your full Moraine Valley email address, then click ‘Next’.

5. Webex will request permissions.  Click ‘Accept’ to proceed.

6. Cisco Webex is now reauthorized with your Canvas user account.
